World Suicide Prevention Day Walk

SCRC hosts Annual Walks on World Suicide Prevention Day September 10th.

The walk is to help raise awareness towards suicide prevention.

Green Team - Community Clean-ups

The Green Team Co-ordinator hosts weekly clean-ups through out the community during the summer months. At the events volunteers receive gloves, pickers and garbage bags to participate; Lunch is provided.

Selkirk Employment Services

With funding provided by the Government of Canada and the Manitoba Government; the SCRC is able to offer Selkirk Employment Services (SES).


SES program objective is to offer individualized and group-based employment assistance to unemployed or under-employed individuals. The services will provide clients with the necessary supports to enter or re-enter the labour market into sustainable employment.

Girls Wellness After-school Program

 The Girls Wellness After-school Program is offered to girls ages 11-14, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3:30-6:30pm out of the Selkirk United Church 202 Mclean Ave. The programming will include team building activities and outings, volunteer/work experience, sewing, baking, and being able to interact with girls in their age group.


Programming will follow Covid-19 guidelines, including all participants over the age of 12 must be full vaccinated to attend.

Hop Skip Saturday

Hop Skip Saturday is a physical literacy program that provides families with scheduled activities on the weekend through the fall and winter months.


Starting mid-October, every Saturday SCRC will be offering weekly programming for families with children under the age of 5. Program times and locations will vary weekly depending on the outing.


Families will require their own transportation.


Programming will follow Covid-19 guidelines, Proof of Vaccination will be required for any participant over the age of 12.

Indigenous Cultural Club

Indigenous Cultural Club is a program offered to children and families with scheduled activities, and learning of Indigenous cultural and language. It gives the families within our community a chance to Indigenous language and culture.


Starting May 25th - October 5th, every Wednesday SCRC and ILMB will offer the Indigenous Cultural Language Club from 6:00pm-8:00pm for children 5-15 years and their families.  The club will be held at Gaynor Family Regional Library.
